Event & Fault Management

With the sense that all devices will at some point becomes faulty, and virtual connections, links, and interfaces can go intermittent. It is of good practices that faults are corrected at first level of detection, effectively increasing the productivity level of a network. Ensuring that required data are collected in this regard for adequate measurement of Service Level Agreement . Events are similar to faults, except that they do not necessarily indicate the actual state of the network device. Event exist to notify the management system of important occurrences.


The Domxam's Method


We approach Fault management with an advanced policy-based mechanism built into our network management application, It identifies, diagnose, and correct network problems at the initial level which increases reliability and effectiveness of the network. This is more of a proactive technique to ensure availability of all service-level network components.

We have designed a proactive Event managing module that takes intelligent actions on receipt of all events. This is to ensure that collected events data are normalized, filtered, examined, and analyzed according to the device network protocol. This technique is employed to notify Enterprise with a real-time information of the event source, time, priority, and type.
